DHAKA, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — After two years of pandemic-induced slump, the 21st Bangladesh “Textech Bangladesh International Expo 2022” is being held here from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3.

The exhibition is accompanied by two simultaneous exhibitions titled “18th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2022-Summer Edition” and “40th Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2022 International Expo”, and focuses on international textile garment technology and the machinery industry of Bangladesh.

A total of 300 companies from 12 countries, including many from China, exhibited their products.

Wang Xia from China’s Yantai Ocean Biology Co., Ltd joined the show for the first time. “We are very grateful to the Bangladeshi people for their support. The Bangladeshi people are very friendly. China and Bangladesh are good friends,” she said.

“Our plan is to hold a meeting this year and open an office in Bangladesh next year to provide after-sales service to all local customers,” she said.

Spinning, weaving, knitting machines and yarn processing equipment, chemicals and dyes, embroidery and sewing equipment, among other products, are on display during the event, where industry insiders receive direct advice from professionals to discover ways to improve the efficiency of their factories, according to the organizer.

Chandra Shekhar Ghosh is the owner of Source Creation, a local business. He said that this great annual exhibition played the role of a bridge. “China is a textile paradise,” he said.

“Here we get a lot of things in one place, in one block, we get everything from fabric to accessories. We thank those who organized it and thank those who attended, and we are able to reach our business goals,” he said. .

Angela, a representative of High Hope Zhongtian Corporation, a Chinese company specializing in the export of garments, fabrics and home textiles, said she was satisfied as many visitors showed interest in doing business with her company.

An Qiang, who joined the expo on behalf of Shandong Lanyan Textiles Co. Ltd, was optimistic about getting better results from the expo.

He said that they are engaged in denim and denim clothing business. “Our new technology can save 30% of the use of the indigo solution. Considering the increasing cost of production in the indigo industry, the adoption of this new technology can reduce production costs,” he said.

He hoped the exhibition would pave the way for better productions from the garment industry after two sluggish years.

Conference and Exhibition Management Services Limited (CEMS), a global event management company, organized the international expo through its Bangladesh wing.

Meherun N Islam, chairman and general manager of CEMS, told Xinhua that they expect up to 14,000 visitors for the exhibition.
