International Textile and Garment Industry Expo opens in Ho Chi Minh City

VIETNAM, September 22 –

HCM CITY – The 20th Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Expo (VTG) has officially opened at Sài Gòn Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7 of HCM City and will be held from September 21 to 24 .

The four-day exhibition attracts the participation of more than 200 domestic and foreign companies from 15 countries and territories around the world.

It showcases a wide range of products in textile machinery, garments, fibers, filaments, yarn fabrics, footwear machinery and materials in 800 stalls.

It provides an ideal opportunity for Vietnamese textile and apparel manufacturers to access cutting-edge technologies and the latest market information, and to connect with leading companies in the world.

Since 2001, VTG has been deeply involved in Việt Nam’s textile and apparel industry, bringing groundbreaking technologies and state-of-the-art machinery to the local market.

VTG is also a bridge between local and international industrial players in the post-pandemic period.

Việt Nam is playing an increasingly important role in the global textile and apparel value chain, with apparel products exported to more than 180 countries and territories. Major apparel manufacturers continue to explore expansion and production opportunities in the country.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Textile and Clothing Association (VITAS), exports of textile and clothing products totaled $22.3 billion in the first six months of the year, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year.

VTG is organized by the VINEXAD National Trade Fair and Advertising JSC under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co. Ltd.

A series of seminars will be held as part of the exhibition, during which speakers will share their expertise. —VNS
