Vietnam’s textile-clothing exports will reach 45 billion dollars in 2022

Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry is expected to export $45 billion in 2022 after earning about $40.4 billion in 2021. The country’s textile and apparel products account for a market share by 5.2%, making Vietnam the third largest textile exporter in the world; its biggest importers are the United States, South Korea, Japan and Europe.

The textile industry has grown rapidly over the past five years, at 20-26% per year. To support the growth trend, the state should quickly disburse the financial assistance program for enterprises and reform the mindset to attract investment in the production of textiles and garments, Vietnamese media reported quoting Truong. Van Cam, Vice President of Vietnam Textile and Clothing Association (VITAS), as they say.

Cam also advised businesses to adopt environmentally friendly practices such as reducing and recycling waste and shifting to green production for lasting value.
